Welcome to Singing Willows Lodge!
If this is your first time in a Native sweat lodge ceremony (and even it's not), here are a few things you might want to know.
First, if you have a question, feel free to ask. I welcome your questions, and I don't mind repeating myself.
Second, please abstain from street drugs and alcohol at least four days before the ceremony. If you're struggling with addictions, do your best - but come sober.
Third, this ceremony is open to all races, genders and sexualities, including women on their moon.
What Should I Bring?
For Yourself
- A large towel to dry yourself off and wrap yourself in afterwards.
- A light cotton dress or cotton shorts & t-shirt to change into.
- A pair of sandals to get you between the house and the lodge, and back.
For Ceremony
- A tobacco offering. It could be a tobacco tie, a cigarette, a pouch or can of loose rolling tobacco i.e. Bugler or Top.
- A potluck dish to share.
For Community
- Your prayers for family and community.
- Your open and loving heart.
How Often Do You Meet?
We gather for Ceremony on the third Saturday of every month.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is no charge for the ceremony, but a suggested $20 donation would be gratefully appreciated. |

Is It Always A Sweat Lodge Ceremony?
During the hotter months, we met in the Tipi for a Community Healing Ceremony. When it was super-hot out, we met indoors.
In the Age of COVID19, we meet on Zoom. Keep your eye out for monthly email updates for the latest news.
What Time Does It Start?
We like to gather about an hour before sunset so we can greet each other and settle in, make prayer ties and cover the lodge together and just bond as a circle.
Generally, that means around 6pm during the hotter months, around 7pm in the cooler months.
Keep your eyes peeled for the monthly update.
